Live ur Life Today
Professional counsellors are bound by a bond of confidentiality between them and their client(s). However, confidentiality is not absolute and though this may seem a scary thought, it is only in very exceptional circumstances, and even then only in collaboration between client and counsellor would that bond be placed at risk. I will be pleased to discuss this in detail with you at any point in our work together and give you an idea as to what to expect.
Code of Ethics:
in order to ensure the highest standard of counselling practice, I work under the code of ethics of the National Counselling Institutite of Ireland. Should you wish to know some more about the code of Ethics, please visit www.ncpii
As well as conforming to a code of ethics in my practice, I also attend regular counselling supervision. Supervision provides me with a space to reflect on the effectiveness of my practice as a counsellor and in our work together. Supervision does not involve me disclosing information about you which may identify you to my supervisor and so I maintain your confidentiality. I would be pleased to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about this vital aspect of Counselling.
